May 2 (Reuters) - Weakening travel demand, signaled by grim earnings forecasts of travel-related companies, may erase billions of dollars from the U.S. economy this year as the Trump administration's trade policy takes a toll on consumer sentiment, analysts have warned.
"Anti-American sentiment could be driving a decline in international tourism, which is considered a service export," J.P.Morgan said in a note last week.

Since Trump is unlikely to look like a LOSER by backing down, I think he'll ride the nation into a recession and try to blame it on "necessary pain" and Biden.

According to trump in the latest sit down interview, aside from claiming an obvious edit on the hand tattoo is real, he claimed that tourism is WAY up in the country. Adding...'just wait for the numbers in 6 months'.

Trump lies a lot. His MAGAts defend the most blatant lies as "jokes".

One of his latest was declaring how low gas prices are. He's probably never filled up a gas tank in his life and doesn't realize people can see he's lying every time they go to the gas station. He's setting fire to his own poll numbers every time he tells a big lie that American consumers readily know is a lie.

Infinitesimal unless it happens to you. Many Canadians were being harassed at trump's direction. The numbers would be much higher if Canada didn't start boycotting U.S vacationing. Musk was here illegally. He would have been detained and deported.

In the Buffalo / Niagara Falls area they are saying tourism from Canada is down about 45% from a year ago, way down from Christmas and doesn't look like it will be getting any better.
 
And another thing with our dollar getting weaker and the Canadian dollar getting stronger , it was one US dollar was worth 146 in Canadian funds when Trump took office and now it is only worth 136 in Canadian funds to a dollar US., that difference alone would have brought more Canadians to the states to shop.
Heck they use to wear old torn rags come here buy new stuff change in the parking lots and throw the old shit away so they didn't have to declare anything in customs, we use to laugh at them.
Yes Trump had done great harm to the shopping and tourist industries in this area for sure.
