Books so simple even a MAGA moron can read them

I think he was an atheist when he met her, so he didn't care if she was Hindu.

No that he's supposedly a holy roller, his disrespect for his wife's religion has become existential.

JD Vance expressed hope his Hindu wife will become a Christian. That’s ruffled feathers in India

He only converted to Catholicism in 2019. Odd since most of the White Christian Nationalists are Prosperity Evangelicals.

The fact he's siding with the White Nationalists should give Usha pause when protecting her 3 children from MAGA racists.

Obviously a craven political decision, since he knew he couldn't run for office in the GOP as an atheist.
True, but Catholicism? He was raised Vance was raised in a "conservative, evangelical" branch of Protestantism.

Vance was raised in a "conservative, evangelical" branch of Protestantism.[242] When entering college, he was an atheist.[243] By September 2016, he was "not an active participant" in any particular Christian denomination, but was "thinking very seriously about converting to Catholicism".[242] In August 2019, Vance was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church. He chose Augustine of Hippo as his confirmation saint. Vance said he converted because he "became persuaded over time that Catholicism was true [...] and Augustine gave me a way to understand Christian faith in a strongly intellectual way", further pointing out Catholic theology's alignment with his political views and key people in his life being Catholic.[244][245][246] Vance was influenced to convert to Catholicism by Peter Thiel.[247] He has drawn criticism from both Pope Francis and his successor, Pope Leo XIV,[248] for misrepresenting Church teaching in his support for policies like the deportation of migrants and responded by invoking the traditional concept of ordo amoris present in Catholic theology, which he interprets as loving his own nationals more than foreigners[249][250][251] and equates with the slogan "America First".[252][253]

Modern Catholic doctrine is more accepting and tolerant of other major world religions compared to fire-and-brimstone fundamentalist Protestant denominations. That is probably the only courtesy he decided to extend to his Hindu wife.
