America to flee Gulf region
There appears to be “an implicit agreement” that the US will remove its troop presence across the Gulf, which is a “scenario that can be discussed between” the US and Iran, says Sultan Barakat, senior professor in public policy at Qatar’s Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
It is also important to bear in mind that the matter of US military presence in the Gulf is a “sovereign decision” that should be made by the Gulf states, as Iran has agreed not to “interfere” in their neighbors’ affairs, Barakat told Al Jazeera.
The Gulf countries either need to “reach an agreement” where they can still have US protection without having “the threatening presence that can agitate the Iranians”, or they decide to acquire protection from a range of other countries, said Barakat.

False. Reports show Saudi Arabia and Kuwait actually restricted US basing/airspace accesss. The image appears to reference past US-Saudi ties rather than current basing offers.

The Persian Gulf is OFF-LIMITS to the US. Period. And Iran did not even have to apply its multiple ways to escalate.Still they baffle Barbaria’s mutts. The Strait of Hormuz will remain controlled by the IRGC Navy…indefinitely.The only way to "open it”, American-style, would be via a ground invasion and permanent occupation.Russia and China already vetoed it.And Baboon of Barbaria knows it.
