How bad does it feel that a 51 yr old bayou stoner is retiring at 51 with a mill. I'll be hitting that bong and eating in the best restraunts in the country while y'all slave in the cubicle.

Speaking of bong.......I had some excellent cheese today.

I can't imagine how you'd think 1 Mill was enough for the rest of your life... It's less than you think.

90 percent of retirees have less, like I said I'll prob not have enough to move to Cali. Damo do you have over a mil?
The mill includes my pension but not ss.

My goal since 30 has been to retire early with a mil. It takes most till 59, so I'm glad to do it at 52. My boss works from home on weekends. I never do that, I worked to live not lived to work. Dy once told me he made 50 percent more than me but had less. I'm sure he has a bigger house, better car, maybe a ski lodge. At my low income I had to pass on those.

Your a lot smarter than me, you bought apple way back. I will live on capital gains and dividends. Don't plan to touch the mill I'll leave it to my three sons.

I don't plan on retiring. I can't imagine not having some place to go and do something I find at least interesting, if not meaningful. My hope is to secure a job I find meaningful and "retiring" to that job... But I need the economy to pick up, not this slow craptacular never replace the losses pace, I need the economy to come back with a vengeance...

:D

I got suspended from work in August for three months! best three months of my life. My wife can't work due to a bad back, so she is home, and I played twice as much tennis, went kayaking and hiking with her when I wasn't playing tennis. If I get board I'll start a CPA/investment management firm. But never full time.
