59 % of Docs want universal Healthcare

Its utterly inhuman.

Imagine realizing that policing and fire protection are issues which should not be subject to market forces and then thinking that medical care should?

Its just crazy thinking

why should food be subject to market forces? why should clothes be subject to market forces? why should homes/apartments be subject to market forces?

We need food to survive. We need clothes or we will freeze. Someone living without housing is inhumane.

because you can grow food if you have to but you can not grow a new kidney.

Really? Everyone has enough land to grow their own food? What exactly are you to do if you don't have a place to store the food? What are you to do while you wait for it to grow?

Super a society which has problems fproducing enough food to make it affordable to the masses will never survive.

If you really think its good that we have members of our society who can not afford to be treated when they need to be then you dont know much about disease and how it effects a population.

Then those 59% should get together, create a non-profit organization and treat people for free and get paid from donations and funds raised by the NPO. But to say that a neurosurgeon should be paid what an Insurance salesman makes for spending hours and hours over the very sensitive human brain is ludicrous. We do NOT live in a society that gives to people according to their needs nor takes from people according to their abilities. Being a doctor is not something ANYONE can do. They should be renumerated for their value of their labor.

Universal healthcare is not only the most humane option, it's just good economics.

Those of us in the country know how. Smoking, cellars, canning, keeping it alive till time to eat it, etc.
Those of you who choose to live in cities and be ignoreant of the basic survival skills...well that is your problem.

I don't have any earrings but you do have a 4 Seasons Hotel right?

nope, I think there is a hotel about 15 miles down the road, next to the interstate. Maybe 3. A hampton inn, holiday inn express and some other one.
The Hampton inn is the nicest one.

funny thing a few weeks ago a 30 something floozy lookng type tried to pick me up, she had metal everywhere, nostril, lip ears tounge, etc. I decline and told her if we made out it would sound like playing jinglebells. For some reason she got pissed ;)

universal healthcare will literally ruin medicine. The only way to fix healthcare costs is to deregulate the entire health insurance industry, in fact, remove any control over doctor decisions that they have.

LOL, yep deregulation works so well in all the other venues it has been tried.

One thing lately that has helped on medical costs. some states have passed laws rewuitying hopspitals and medical providers to pay for fixing their own foulups and not bill medicare/medicaid for fixing their mistakes.

Also hospitals that have really enforced handwashing and other sanitary measures have really dropped their secondary infection rates, thereby reducing costs, illness and suffering by patients.

More regulation and oversight seems to work better than removing regulations.
single payer healthcare would also reduce paperwork costs.

Forcing them to not make rules on doctor decisions is a regulation.

Please forgive me for interrupting this universal wailing and gnashing of teeth over the millions who "don't have health care", but I'd like to point out one leetle fact you all seem to have forgotten:

Every single person in the United States, even including illegal aliens, has access to health care, even if they can't pay for it. Every single one.

We now return you to your normal frothing and complaining about the unfairness of our health care system.
