It might as well be because it says what direction we will all be dragged along.
Also perception seems to be more important than reality in recent years.

Of course we are on the wrong track! Growing government debt, wars that waste time, money and lives, investing into dumb ideas like Ethanol that increases the price of groceries, and all the other unintended consequences that come with trying to control shit. The Fed has to cut back and let the states have some more power for the social programs and education.
