AIG

I'm just wondering if anybody could address whether the global economy, and our own economy, could have withstood an AIG fall. I have been reading many con type business magazines along with liberal business commentators and none of them seem to believe that this would have been anything other than a complete disaster.

So, I am wondering, what were the alternatives to this takeover? But I haven't seen anyone come up with any.

This field - not my speciality. The difference between me and the rest of you? I'll say so, and seek out many different opinions and weigh them. However you view this - these are extraordinary events, radical government intervention, in an attempt to stave off a complete disaster, the extent of which I don't think many are trying to even imagine. So, I'd do as much reading as I could on this, since we really dont' know who is next, or whether this is going to work.

But you know, that's me.
