“Trust in Trump’s decision making on the use of military force overseas is low”

“When it comes to his handling of foreign affairs, most do not trust Donald Trump to make the right decisions about international military action (56%) or the use of nuclear weapons (59%). The public is similarly skeptical when it comes to his handling of relationships with both U.S. allies and adversaries, with 56% and 55%, respectively, expressing little to no trust.”

Understandable, Trump’s only real crisis in his first term was Covid, and everyone saw how he screwed that up spectacularly, so there is no reason to trust him with putting American troops in harm’s way or conducting an actual conflict

Tell me in your own words how Trump screwed up the handling of the Covid crisis.

Well there’s umpteen examples but the easiest is Trump just flat out lying to all Americans. America was facing its first generational crisis in decades and when looking for direction from the country’s leader he lied to them, repeatedly. All they heard was “ it’s no worse than the common cold,” “it will be gone by May 1st,” “ it is all under control,” etc., etc., etc.
