"An Armed Society Is a Polite Society..."

Do you really think ALEC, walmart, NRA and the Republicon politicians they control are going to do anything but try to sell more guns? As long as ALEC and their radical toadies exist there will be many more kindergarden children killed.

They reduce complicated issues to the absurd.

According to ALEC stand your ground laws, maybe this gunman felt threatened by his family and school children and thus has a right to kill them.

Thats a fair question desh......why don't you think about that.....
whats different in this country?
what do we have that the others don't have?
why are we different.....

do guns actually make people shoot one another ?
do knives actually make people stab one another ?
does money make people rob one another?

84,767 reported rapes in the US in 2010.....why is that ?

why are we different....

We're different because we glorify violence.

Please be serious...are you really going to go down this winding path in an effort to avoid the numbers?

We're different because we glorify violence.

Thanks for at least attempting to answer and,

I agree to some extent.....its a part of our society....violence is entertainment in the US....movies, rap music, TV programing, etc.....its all over....
Yes, we've changed, some call it progress....right and wrong is more a gray blob....morality is a joke....our double standard....

Do you glorify violence ?...Exactly who is this 'we' that glorifies violence....

If thats what the problem, then work to end it.....and stop blaming inanimate things....its like blaming playgrounds for children getting hurt or a tree because someone fell out
of it.....WE are the problem, not things.

You laugh at the "Leave it to Beaver" jokes but it was a different time and WE were a different people....some would say a better people.

We have much to THINK about as a people, instead we deny the reality that is so evident if only we could see....
