I think that the court was appropriate in its decision.
These people come from a very barbaric place and have a barbaric mindset, one that strips the poor and powerless of their rights. It was unfortunately prevalent amongst my ancestors and even the founders. It's a good thing that we've finally confronted it as a society and done away with it, but I think we as a society still find it all too easy to dehumanize others.
