You are so far out in left-field that you see anyone right of Nader as being a Repub party hack.

Epic is a smart observer, I'm sure he can see that I am no hack and even for those that are that doesn't automatically nullify their points.

I have admitted I have been wrong quite a few times. You were the one who started with the insults, do you disagree?

I see hacks of all kinds. People are different kinds of hacks though.

My personal ideology doesn't factor into my opinion of someone's hackishness. Having an ideology isn't hackish, but defending it to the point of absurdity and enshrining it as infallible is. Likewise with a party affiliation.

Rstring is just as much a hack for the Libertarians as desh is for the Democrats or Dixie is for the Republicans.

Dano is just as loyal to conservatism as you are to liberalism.

I don't know. I guess I started with the name calling but I did not in response to your rant about how the liberals (including me) expect others to act which I took offense to.

In any event, will you admit you were wrong on the Big 3 money thread? I'll even grant you that the CBS article was poorly written and misleading at best.

I reread it, it opens with saying $50 million in donations this year and then went on to talk about how much each person got, so a reader would assume they meant of that $50 million pie for this year.
If they meant lifetime contributions, you're right they should have said that so one doesn't make the more obvious assumption of it being for this year as well. Perhaps it was poorly written.
If I am wrong on that then I apologize. But look at Dingell's ties, the amount of stock in them he owns, his own wife being a lobbyist for them, there is no question he has more incentive than just political donation payback so on that I would still say the auto industry expects more from him and Dems than Repubs.

He's such a jerk. I always make up PM'S that people here sent me - usually sf and damo. As many hissy fits as they both have, they don't even pay any attention to me when I make that stuff up.
