Not surprisingly, it looks like Twitter has lied again. If you skip to exactly the one hour mark on the video below, you will see that he was doing two things. First, he was listening to Jill talking to him and second, he was sitting on the ground whatever he had in his hand.

Nope. If you watch from 1:09:00 on the video below, you will see that Jill is not escorting him out. They are leaving together after the end of the ceremony and he is shaking hands with people as they leave.

Another epic fail by social media.

That doesn't mean that Joe isn't old and mentally compromised. It just means that social media should not be trusted to provide accurate information.


 
He wasn't in much better shape today then most of the respected veterans... He looked and sounded confused the entire time... And Jill did take his hand and lead him off. He shook a few hands but she never let go of him.
