George Foreman, who won the Olympic Gold Medal at age 19,
the professional Heavyweight Boxing Championship of the World at age 24
and then, amazingly, did it AGAIN at age 45,
died today. He was 76 years old.

Big George was a consummate gentleman and a huge credit to our sport.

Although I was never closer than 50 feet to him, I feel like I've lost a personal friend.
I can't explain why. It just feels that way.

Rest in peace, Big Guy.
And thank you.

His legacy will live on

George Foreman planned on his name and legacy to live on by naming 5 of his children George.
