Ridiculous. Edwards plans to force drug companies not to market or advertise for new drugs for 2 years, because hey it lures people into trying to buy the more expensive drugs.

Apparently people need government to protect them from advertising and marketing now.
So begins the leftwing "War on Advertising and Marketing", and I'm sure like all government programs it should expand to cover more and more, should throw a lot of innocent people out of work too...

this is different from the rights culture war and war on christmas by???

now we need the government to protect us w/ christmas and culture.
 
I have never been comfortable with drug companies advertising directly to consumers for prescription only drugs anyway.
Don't you trust your DR. Dano ?

Also this has raised our health care costs by patients demanding new patented medicines.
My Dr prescribed a name brand highly advertised medicine for me, was going to cost $125 per month. I talked with him and he prescribed the 2 ingedients in the name brand medicine seperately and it cost me $15 per month....

why do you support higher health care costs for the same care Dano ?

The right doesn't have a "war" on Christmas, that would be the left. Usually you hear of some lefty outlet somewhere like a city hall that decided to go PC and remove the Christmas tree or call their party a "Holiday Party" instead of "Christmas Party". Then maybe some Conservative somewhere grumbles and honestly I am with them, I'm not terribly religious, but honestly who cares about some tree in the lobby or saying the word Christmas instead of Holiday.
What a waste of outrage from anti-religious zealots that is out of step with 80% of America.

The only thing I support is free choice, smart people are going to shop around as you did, and on the flip side SOMETIMES the more expensive drug IS going to be better. It's up to individuals to make their own choices as to what is best for them.

Do we really need to pay some government watchdog agency to protect us from fucking ads? Is that what the left is reducing this nation to?
That kind of nannying and babying is just pathetic, think about this some more and I'm sure you realize how sad it would be to support the Liberal Dems plan here.

are you for real? then why is it on fox news 24/ 7? furthermore it is holyrollers disdain of the use of the word "holiday" by retailers to entice them to purchase products during the "holiday" season since their are more holiday's than christmas...

and i thought you were a capitalist?

Stop defending this gross socialism, any businesses have freedom to advertise period. Don't like it, don't buy it and shop around.
 
Lefties may rail on against drug companies but suppose I come out with a new drug that can save thousands of lives and want to get it out to as many people as possible, shouldn't I be allowed to advertise?
Socialists like Edwards are forgetting the good.

We already have seen enough people die from the government delaying new drugs from coming on the market, do we really need to hamper that more?
