"If the media convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations," Palin told host Chris Plante, "then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media."
Palin is expressing her opinion, not filing a complaint of her rights being violated. She is essentially saying, this is a 'slippery slope', when the mainstream media is allowed to proclaim her guilty of 'negative campaigning' when all she did was raise legitimate questions about past associations. There is nothing remotely 'negative' in questioning Obama's past associations. But, since the MSM is on Obama's side and trying to get him elected, they categorized her comments as "negative campaigning" and condemned her for it. They are not supposed to "condemn" or "endorse" anyone, they are supposed to remain objective and neutral. Such condemnations are are a threat (by intimidation) to free speech, a right found in the First Amendment of the Constitution.
Now Blackflag, let's talk about how uneducated and ignorant of the Constitution you are... You were asked to articulate the First Amendment and you said...
"Freedom of speech is guaranteed as far as the govt. is concerned. The govt. can't arrest her or harass her because of the bile she spews about Obama."
This is completely inaccurate. The First Amendment doesn't even mention the government. It has absolutely nothing to do with what the government can or can't do, that is established in another part of the Bill of Rights entirely. The First Amendment guarantees Palin's right to political free speech, period. Anyone, or any 'entity' who tries to deny her this right, is in violation of the First Amendment. Through the intimidation of unfair condemnation by the press, it is somewhat 'denying' the right to speak freely. Or at least, threatening to deny that right. Which is exactly what Palin articulated.
So, we have established that Palin is smarter than you, Darla, and anyone else here, who wants to make some 'argument' out of this. Of course, I already knew she was smarter than you retards, so I'm not surprised.
