Carbon cap and trade

As I said in the first post I am only for cap not the sell and trade.

If you can't meet the cap you do not do.

No matter what route we take we WILL pay lots more for energy in the near future.
The only question is do we plan long term or continue on with a short term view and reach shutdown later when the oil starts running out and costs $500+/bbl?

Its the natural progression: liberalism - socialism - fascism.

Yeah, just look at the USA! We liberalized ourselves from King George, next we'll have health care for all and then, well, we will start empire building, oh, dear, gawd, what a fate!!!!!

The man was taxing us, running roughshod over our property rights, not defending our English constitutional rights, etc. What were we supposed to do? Very liberal, that movement.

See, that was a downfall, being liberal in the face of King George, we should have stayed under their wings, then it would not lead to our downfall through socialism and then fascism!

$500 BBL, I just got wood on the thought:clink:

I'm educated unlike you, the country needs lots of fuel. Most of us don't sit around a farm counting 3 teeth.:clink:
Celebrating that something everybody needs will reach an incredible price simply because it would personally enrich you is pretty selfish, Topper.

gas is too cheap now and has been for 30yrs, we've expoited the shit out of the Arabs to make it so. Plenty of environmentalist agree with me.:readit:

And American society is structured around cheap petro energy. Take that away and our structure falls apart.

you are a selfish little man.

and you want gold to go down? Tool
we'll develop good alternatives like electric & hydrogen cars, we'll just have to have a couple major oil spikes first to get us there.

Gold can go down 40% or so and it would not bother me.
I have sufficient gold to do me at 50% of current market price.

Gold is pretty much a luxury item unlike energy to keep our society working.
