Clueless

yeah, but Phantasmal is in her "I realize I voted for, and supported without any qualms, a dementia patient who was being abused by his family, but instead of just promising myself never to do that again I am going to pretend the other guys did the same thing so I can feel better about myself" mode.

Things you have to ignore to believe that tRump has dementia:
1. You have to ignore video of tRump answering off the cuff questions from reporters while signing myriad executive orders for hours at a time, no teleprompter, no notes, just pens and piles of EOs to sign and what's in his own mind. Question after question, no pauses, no desperate searches for the Easter Bunny to save him, no shaking the hand of ghosts and looking at the wall while trying to find an exit.... He didn't shamefully lower his head while he hugged his notes to his body...
2. His ability to walk without stumbling over minimal trip hazards (yes, balance issues and tripping are symptoms of dementia).
3. His capacity to give a speech without a month off to reset his brain so that his lucid hours will be during the speech/press conference/debate timeframe.
4. He is not drugged and therefore not hyperactively unable to lower his arms or incapable of blinking his eyes during speeches.
5. Off the cuff remarks that are clearly not staged or rehearsed (unlike Biden when he proved he didn't even know the name of Laken Riley, and didn't even care enough to try to learn it well enough to say it without mispronouncing it during rehearsals.)

My favorite memory of his mental decline was when he shouted "Let's Go Brandon, I agree!" during that NORAD Phone Call... that one was priceless. He had a notecard with the caller's information on it, so this guy was cleared and ready to go, they'd taken all his info, Biden was reading from the card the whole time and still didn't realize the man was talking about him when he said "Let's Go Brandon!"... That look on Jill's face... that too was priceless.

Anyway, expect more: "You did it too!" and "I miss, braindead" statements from Phantasmal. It makes her feel better to pretend she thinks tRump also has dementia...

It's actually kind of more alarming if Trump does NOT have dementia.

Like - this is just how he is?

It instills no confidence. As the OP title suggests - he is clueless.

@Damocles I remember when cons excoriated Biden for his use of EOs. Over his term he signed 160. trump signed 89 in two months and you guys are euphoric. SMH. :palm:
Well, considering most of them simply reversed Biden's they seemed to be expected, in fact predicted. So. I am not quite sure "euphoric" would describe me though. I am more curious.

What has surprised me is Trump's directive to his AG that we will not extend the same partisan politics to the Justice Department. I thought he would be more petty and that I would have to look "leftist" to the folks that do not like me talking about tRump. I also expected to be more frustrated with increased spending than I am. Don't get me wrong, I'm still frustrated that we still increased spending and still haven't passed a budget (yet ANOTHER continuing resolution FFS), but not as much as I thought I would be as I watch them actually work to stave off fraud and wasteful spending.

Be alarmed then, I do not see the same signs of dementia. When and if I do though, expect me to be vociferous about the signs. It is very real for me with both my MIL and my Uncle (from my father's side so not genetically related as my father was adopted... You know, white folks adopting those minority kids... I lost a heritage, but gained a family) succumbing to the malady.

Anyway, this is how he "is" in a sense. He uses the appearance of controlled chaos to keep folks he is negotiating with guessing as to what he will do. If you read his book you'll see he actually does what he says he would do in that book.

Yes, you too can pretend that this is the same as hundreds of obvious symptomatic moments from Biden. I'm sure it is the same as with Phantasmal, it may make you feel better to think the other side also elected a dementia patient...

If he does show serious signs of cognitive decline like Biden did I'll be there with you, but until then it's just you trying to feel better about your own poor choices.

I didn't vote for either of these folks... but only one of them showed obvious signs of dementia. I spent five years pointing the signs out to you (before his election all the way to the day he left). It was never "fun" to me, and it didn't make me feel good or "better" that the US was being run by people that were not elected and that a man incapable of consent was being abused before our eyes.
It's unclear how far gone Biden was leading up to the debate. He didn't hold a lot of press conferences and, when he did, he often gave the appearance of a nice but doddering grandfather. That doesn't excuse Trump's own lapses in both memory and judgment nor his hiding his health records. As with Biden, there have been several legitimate concerns about Trump's cognition and both mental and physical health.

If it were up to me, We, the People, would have a very clear idea about the health and fitness for duty of our chief executives in both the WH and Congress.

Special counsel describes Biden as ‘elderly man with a poor memory’ in eyebrow-raising report

That's insane. He thinks he's starring in a reality TV show and burning all the bridges built since the end of WWII. Trying to turn the clock back to a nostalgic pre-Pearl Harbor world won't work.

I thought Phantasmal was your friend. You talk about your friends like that?
