It means I've chosen to be happy for Cawacko and his wife that they have this beautiful baby, and that it's none of my business how people handle their reproductive issues.

If women, who are the voter majority in the country were excluded from voting on any given abortion amendment in the states, then you'd have a valid argument. But you don't.
The last thing you want is for the people to decide social issues on abortion or any other social issue because you know that you would mostly lose on any of those social issues.
That's normal, for the first year a baby looks like the guy. After that it clears up.
