Conservative kills three cops

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism

Liberalism is a broad class of political philosophies that considers individual liberty and equality to be the most important political goals.[1]
This is a complete fabrication. No modern liberal I've ever come in to contact with believes in individual liberty and/or equality.

And here's where you come in:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

Fascism is a radical, authoritarian nationalist ideology.[1][2][3][4]

oh yeah, i'm ALL ABOUT authoritarianism.

You're referring to classic liberalism and not to the poorly adapted modern version of liberalism in this day and age. Todays so called liberals know nothing about individual liberty and freedom.

They have glommed on to the word "liberal" because the word "socialist", "communist", and "marxist" are still considered to be anathema to American politics.

Modern liberals are an equally valid branch of liberalism. Thomas Paine, after all, was the first person to call for a welfare system. It's a common sense alternative to market fundamentalism and state ownership of the means of production.

No one is a socialist anymore. Not even socialists are socialist. Socialism is dead, and in the places where there are socialist parties the term is pretty much meaningless.

sad that Mr. Paine was the first alzhiemers patient.

I'm not a fan of Paine. Basically, to be a fan of Paine you have to agree with his argument that the Revolution should be more than a case of English Constitutional Law, and I am a fan of Founders such as Adams who maintained the pre-Paine argument...
