The judge granted his request for "withholding of removal" to El Salvador. The ruling only protects Abrego Garcia from deportation to El Salvador. He could still be legally deported to any other country.

What part of that do u not get?

Abrego Garcia later filed an I-589 application for asylum, and although he was found removable, an immigration judge "granted him withholding of removal to El Salvador," the attorneys said.

he was found removable.... FACT

he was removed

No, it wouldn't. The guy had his day in court and on 17 Oct. 2019 was ordered deported. Biden stopped that with an administrative order because dude was an MS 13 (so the court found) member and his return to El Salvador would mean he'd get tossed in CECOT the moment his feet hit the ground. This horrible exercise in imprisonment of a member of a declared (both in the US and El Salvador) terrorist gang and organization was an affront to the radical Leftists running the Biden administration so they quashed sending him back.

Trump lifted the administrative hold and sent him to rot in an El Salvador prison. Now, some Trump hating judge wants a do over and for Trump to bring this POS back to the US so he can be adjudicated a terrorist and gang member properly before he gets deported a second time.

If he was a gang member, he should not be brought back for any reason. Period.

Yep. Politically motivated Judge. And turn him back loose in the US until his trial date....at which he won't show up for.

It would not have prevented his deportation, it would have prevented him from being sent to ES.

He is a citizen of El Salvador. As an MS 13 gang member, that country would put him in CECOT. The US has no reason to keep him in the US as he is both a deportable alien and member of a declared terrorist threat. Incarceration without a release date is against US law so holding him indefinitely in the US isn't possible. Gitmo is an alternative, but hardly better than being shipped to El Salvador.

On the whole, being returned to El Salvador was probably the best course of action.
