corporations in general should not exist as they are not subject to the same processes as citizens

if a group of people wish to form an association to accomplish something, then let them and let those people bear the benefits AND responsibilities of said association

please note the increase of limited liability partnerships and corporations (LLPs and LLCs)

the purpose of corporations is for the people that run them to avoid liabilities created by the corporation

At least one of the largest wireless carriers is a LLC damo.
Which? It would not be publicly traded. LLC's are for partnerships not publicly traded corporations. What you are saying is "large" is likely not one of the big guns.

Ah, that is where you have it confused.

Verizon Wireless, the subsidiary of Verizon the Phone company is an Inc.

Here is their profile.

What you linked to is a different company Verizon IT, LLC which is a customer portal and run through a contractor affiliated with the Corporation, but not the same corporation.

It supplies a limited range of IT help for Companies in a local area. It is not Verizon Wireless the Inc.

Again, contractors DBAs, not Verizon Wireless Inc, affiliated LLCs.

If I bought a Verizon storefront (franchise) it would be a DBA verizon and an LLC, but it would not be Verizon itself.

You are mistaken in application. Verizon itself is publicly traded and could not be an LLC. Franchises are usually not publicly traded and therefore almost always are LLCs.

AT&T Mobility LLC (usually branded AT&T,[2] and formerly named Cingular Wireless LLC) is the wholly owned wireless subsidiary of AT&T Inc. AT&T Mobility is the largest mobile phone company in the United States and it also operates in Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands. AT&T Mobility has approximately 70.1 million subscribers as of the year ending 2007, and claims to operate the largest digital voice and data network in the United States.

ingular Wireless LLC was founded in 2000 as a joint venture of SBC Communications and BellSouth. The joint venture created the nation's second largest carrier. Cingular grew out of a conglomeration of more than 100 companies [7], with 12 well-known regional companies with Bell roots. The 12 companies included:

* 3 companies spun off from Advanced Mobile Phone Service, Inc.
o Ameritech Mobile Communications, LLC
o BellSouth Mobility, LLC
o Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems, Inc.
* BellSouth Mobility DCS, Inc.
* BellSouth Wireless Data, LLC
* Pacific Bell Wireless, LLC
* Pacific Bell Wireless Northwest, LLC
* SBC Wireless, LLC
* SNET Mobility, LLC
* Southwestern Bell Wireless, Inc.

Also included were:

* some Cellular One markets
* Houston Cellular.

Again,

Those are franchises that sell locally. What part of this is difficult for you to understand?

An LLC is not publicly traded and therefore is size limited.

If I purchase a storefore (franchise) that sells SBC stuff to people, I have a company (LLC) doing business as (DBA) SBC. It would publicly be shown as SBC, LLC but it is only a DBA and it is not the same thing as SBC Inc. (Which of course no longer exists, it is AT&T now.)

If the franchise agreements change it is possible that I could no longer use the DBA SBC and would have to change that. As the AT&T stores recently did.

None of the huge companies will be an LLC because of the size limitations of privately owned companies. The growth is limited, they go public.

Yep a statewide storefront :)
LLC which is a wholly owned subsidiary of ATT.
No. If I have a franchise it would not be a subsidiary of AT&T, it would be "Affiliated".

An LLC that was just purchased would be a wholly owned subsidiary and only an LLC until the partnership is dissolved and it becomes part of the parent company and shares are distributed among the shareholders of the purchasing corporation.
