I actually support the 30 year sentence, but to pretend that there is equal justice is laughable. ANyone breaking into a home and attacking someone not a high level party member is going to get probation or maybe a few months in jail.

Not someone. It was a highly respected and powerful politician's home. It has shades of assassination in it. I doubt that he will do 30.
 
He re-sentenced yesterday to 30 years. Seems like a long sentence for what was a domestic violence situation according to some far-right conspiracy theorists.
