Yes, just like teacher's and airline pilot unions. OTOH, sometimes unions get too much power and destroy the company, and themselves, such as with the UAW in the 1970s. The best way, IMO, is to maintain a balance between management and labor, yin-yang. If either get too powerful, the whole machine starts to corrode and fail. At the moment, most private company unions are effectively neutered, which is bad, but public unions have become too powerful. That makes it hard to get rid of "problem children"; the corrupt, incompetent and dangerous.
