Democrats Spanked!

DamnYankee

Loyal to the end
And not the S&M type spanking that they like either.

The headlines scream about the historic GOP win in the US House, but the big news is that the GOP gained just about everywhere last night. We now have Republican governors in Ohio, South Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kansas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and New Mexico. Iowa and Florida are still too close to call.

Rand Paul is now a US Senator.

And in the Great North State of Carolina, The GOP took control of both the State House and Senate for the first time since Reconstruction.

Literally thousands of local races were won by the GOP last night, spurred on by the TEA Party.

Now its time for the House to de-fund ObamaCare and refund any unused stimulus money. Then propose to extend the Bush tax cuts. Hopefully The Obama will veto everything they do, causing he and the Democrats another huge loss in 2012.

AUSTIN, Texas — Several more Democratic state representatives have lost their seats as Republicans widened their once-narrow edge in the Texas House.

They include state Rep. Valinda Bolton of Austin, defeated by Paul Workman, Rep. Mark Homer of Paris, defeated by Erwin Cain and Jim McReynolds of Lufkin, defeated by James White.

The Democrats were falling across the state as Republicans swept the House races and were poised to net more than 20 seats. Perhaps the night's surprising loss was House Democratic leader Jim Dunnam of Waco, whose seat was considered safe.

n your average year, thirteen state legislative chambers switch control. This year, nineteen have switched so far and we’re still waiting for results in Colorado, Oregon & Washington.

All chambers went from Democratic to Republican control. Historically Republican-led chambers are friendlier than Democratic-led chambers to allowing votes on pro-life bills. This development coupled with the wave of pro-life Governors elected yesterday bodes a good year for pro-life legislation.

House Republicons will want to spend all their time with phony Obama investigations like they did with Clinton. But this time the problems they caused over the last 30 years will force them to maybe, actually do something to get this country working again. Naaaa. not gonna happen. We'll have gridlock all focused on winning the 2012 elections.

The strategy here is to obstruct govt. when the enemy is in power. They will block everything the govt needs to do then scream the govt is broken.

Now its time for the right to govern. Fat chance.

And of course the Democrats didn't have any Presidents in the White House in the last 30 years and the 18 years they controlled Congress is just in our imagination....I get it...
The 7 years of 4 to 6% unemployment of Bush was ....a problem???
or the 5 to 7% rates of Bush 1.....was a .....problem?
Even Clinton's 8 to 4% rates.....was that a problem?

The economy is going to hell only since the push for socialism has shown its ugly head in this country.....

And according to you, there were no problems with Bush and President Obama has done this all on his own.

As I've said many times, Bush and the old GOP were too liberal and spent too much. They better have learned their lesson or else last night's historic victory won't be worth much.

According to me....statements like this,

"House Republicons will want to spend all their time with phony Obama investigations like they did with Clinton. But this time the problems they caused over the last 30 years will force them to maybe, actually do something to get this country working again."...Originally Posted by Crashk

Maybe the powers-that-be can add this smiley now that drivers have changed in the "House".

Neither is my pick, always trying to tell people how to think!

Cool - good luck w/ the economy....

typical onceler...

when the dems have a majority in congress from 2006...its still the gop and bush's fault....when they get a greater majority in 08 and the presidency...its still the gop and bush's fault that the economy is bad

now, after two years of liberal domination in both branches, its....wait for it.....still the gop who is responsible for the economy....

amazing how dems are never responsible and how "suddenly" its now "good luck with the economy" IMMEDIATELY upon winning a majority in ONLY the house

i would say onceler is a hack, but that goes without saying :)

election

The power flip in North Carolina’s General Assembly was part of a Republican tide that washed over state legislatures from Alabama to Minnesota.

After Tuesday’s elections, Republicans will control at least 54 state House and Senate chambers across the country, 18 more than before the elections, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

North Carolina — where Republicans had not won a majority in the state Senate since the 1800s — is in historic company. The Alabama House and Senate are in Republican hands for the first time since Reconstruction. Minnesota’s Senate will have a Republican majority for the first time ever, the conference said.

Republican legislatures across the country will get to redraw election maps for their own seats and Congress, something that’s done every 10 years. In North Carolina that’s a particular prize, because state law doesn’t give Gov. Bev Perdue, a Democrat, veto authority over those maps.

Combine all that with Republican gains in Congress, and a lot of people were using the phrase “Republican tsunami” as Tuesday night became yesterday morning.

So the problems that Ross Perot warned us about in the early 90s have come true. they are reality, and you still can't see it. He told us about the 'giant sucking sound' if we followed conservatives. Remember? Didn't think so.

As far as what the Republicons will do now, you won't even believe your own leaders.

"Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke at The Heritage Foundation Thursday, while President Obama gave a post-election press conference Wednesday. Talking Points Memo mashed together the two press conferences.

McConnell says his “top political priority” is to deny the president a second term..."

He speaks at the Koch brothers Heriatge Foundation so we know who he represents in govt. We already know what the Republicons are going to do and who they represent, we've seen it for decades.

Nothing new to see here folks, keep moving...

That is my prediction, nothing new, more of the same Republican style of governing! More breaks for the Salomon Brothers, too, life is good!
