He was a really liberal congressman in a marginal district, and he flaunted it. He could basically only win in a seat like that because of the Democratic wave in 2008. I'd expect him to lose in an average election, much less in the schizophrenic reverse wave we just experienced.

Pelosi's been Speaker of the House- they set the budget- for four years. She was there to start the disaster and made it worse and worse...

The Democrats negotiated a budget in 2007 and 2008. They did set it in 2009 and 2010 but the economy went to shit before then.
