Then President Donald Trump was frustrated that metal detectors were slowing down armed people from entering a rally of his supporters on January 6, 2021, according to former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, who recalled Trump demanding the metal detectors be removed because he believed the crowd was “not there to hurt me.”


Trump wanted as many people as possible to attend his Ellipse rally and was “f——- furious” metal detectors were keeping the crowd from going, according to a text message Hutchinson sent to Tony Ornato, who served as White House deputy chief of staff.

White House officials were not bothered when they learned the crowd of Trump supporters gathered on January 6 included many people who were heavily armed, according to Hutchinson.

Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows did not even look up from his phone when he was told about the armed Trump supporters, Hutchinson testified to the January 6 committee.

Obviously he was hoping they'd succeed in stopping the confirmation of Biden's victory and steal the election.

Keep his criminal ass in office and out of the reach of the law.

Which is why I am fascinated by Trump's reaction, and perplexed as to why he is a candidate for President. He sat & watched for 3 hours. Doesn't that concern you, at all? He could have stopped it at any time. And he did, when he finally came around to it - unfortunately, 3 hours into it, when a ton of damage had been done, there had been a death, and many were beaten and put into circumstances that would give them PTSD.

Why do you think he waited that long? No curiosity about that at all?

The only death that night was from a democrat "LEO". It was murder. Democrats have spent a lot of time and money trying to defend that. I expected more from you Bartender.

Trump's traitors, terrorists and pedos keep wanting the military to be deployed along the border. If the military had been deployed at the Capitol on 1/6, there's have been a lot of dead traitors, terrorists and pedos. Good thing for them that the Commander-in-Chief didn't want military there to interrupt the coup attempt.

Still surprises me, but I think that he was more concerned with self preservation and the possible criminal penalties he could face if it all backfired on them.

He probably knew Trump would throw him under the bus in a NY minute if it came down to it.

If you don't want to answer the question, you're not obligated to respond. I totally get that it makes conservatives uncomfortable.
 
There was a video of Trump watching the insurrection on TV. He was pleased that they were doing it for him. People were begging him to call it off. He could think of no reason to do so. They were going to make him president again. He did not care about the violence and the capitol guards.
