Albert merely wished to label reality god

I think it is fair to say that.

But I do take him at his word - he affiliated with the Deism of Spinoza.

God is just a label humans use for the creative forces underlying reality. Whether is is a Christian deity, a Hindu deity, an indigenous American deity, nature's God of Spinoza, or the ultimate reality underlying a quantum singularity.

you seem to be jumping to assumptions

Using the legacy of Einstein to proselytize atheism would be a strange thing to do.

Einstein explicitly said he was not an atheist.

But Christians cannot claim him either.

Taking him at his own word, he affiliated with a natural religion, a deism, a rationally conceived universe, and with a divinity which manifests itself in the physical world.
