EV Inventories Pile Up as Dealer Expectation Dims for Q3

If you are one of the few who is allowed to have a car going forwards, one of the few, the fully WOKE credentialled....then you will do as you are told.....it is part of the definition.

This is not rocket science....they have been very clear on what is coming...U simply need to rise to the occasion for a change and pay attention.

Please try to manage.

No idea about that.

Thanks to the Navy, I had to learn about and become something of an expert on batteries. Anyway, when you rapid charge them, the chemistry happens very fast, generating a lot of heat, and the reaction can cause the chemistry involved to increase the internal resistance of the battery permanently.

https://news.ucr.edu/articles/2020/03/11/fast-charging-damages-electric-car-batteries

Considering that there are thousands of individual small cells in a car battery, and that it only takes one or a few to fail to wreck the battery's range, if you regularly fast charge your battery you pretty much are guaranteed to see range drop dramatically in possibly less than a year. There's a trade off going on here. The faster you charge, the greater the risk.

Yes, there are lots of people working on improving this technology, but at the end of the day all that is just derivative of the battery design, not revolutionary. Charging will always remain a weak point in EV technology and there really isn't any way around it. That's why the fuel cell should be adopted instead.

That's hilarious, if you work at a supermarket get about four extension cords to plug into the store and run them out into the parking lot to charge your car and hope nobody rips off your cords. Same thing with living in an apartment.

Restaurants, art museums, hotels and motels shopping malls, public buildings, schools, and other establishments have charging stations installed. You know nothing as usual. You obviously get paid by the post.

I've never seen one at the supermarket.

Never seen them at fast food.

Our library doesn't have one.

Never seen one at a gas station.

Not sure what you are talking about.

Once the technology improves for charging and their prices drop it would make sense that people would switch to them.

The tech is not ready yet however.

The tech will never be ready. It is the wrong path to be on. Fuel cells are the direction we should be going in.

All new vehicle inventories are piling up, not just EV's my friend.

https://www.coxautoinc.com/market-insights/new-vehicle-inventory-may-2023/

"Revised, July 13, 2023 – New-vehicle inventory in May reached its highest level in two years, according to Cox Automotive’s analysis of vAuto Available Inventory data, with a notable increase from the previous month. Days of supply increased due to a slight weakening in sales toward month-end. Despite a decline in the average listing price, it remained above $47,000."

Looks like you cherry-picked a rw article that was heavily biased against EV's.

It seems you can't see either way Biden is a failure. It is either because of inflation or bidenomics or because no one wants EV

The current grid? Perhaps not. But grids will be upgraded to handle the demand, when it's time.

How many decades will it take? It takes a long time to get the permits to do the upgrades. the Democrats will delay it because they want to hurt this country
