Fourth baby dies from tainted formula

Hey I like that arrests have already been made. 10 yrs later they would be running free in the USA. Hiding behind a coprporation.
 
I am soooo glad that the Chinese make some many things in their country that we put into our bodies in this country. I don't know who we missed out on an opportunity to kill our kids here with their formula. Seems like WalMart or someone was asleep at the wheel and didn't get a contract out soon enough.

Yeah b/c we have something terrible called "due process" that gets in the way of everything.

The Chinese will kill someone, whether or not they are innocent, to show people how it's done. That's how we should do it in America!

As much as love hearing about how my war on children is spreading, if this doesn't scare people about goods from China, I don't know what will.

They're killing their own babies. You think they give two $hits about what they put in our stuff?

Nope. I read every label on anything processed that I buy. If it's not made in the US from US ingredients, it stays on the shelf. I'm doing all possible to completely avoid anything from China, whether consumable or not. I'm especially careful about the dog biscuits, etc.

BTW, did anyone else hear about the big recall on Pedigree dog food and some smaller brands? (Tiana I'll forward you the e-mail if you want).

Is it really! Guess you missed all the news about dogs dying from ingredients that were shipped from China, knowingly tainted to elevate the protein reading when it was tested? I bought some barbecue tools some time ago and found when I removed the packaging that the brush had been "preserved' in mothballs (which are toxic). Now they're managing to kill some of their own children. So far more than 6,200 have been sickened and that's just those that were reported.

Apart from the dangers of Chinese ingredients, I'm simply not interested in funding their military and/or their space program.

Yeah, I pretty much consider economic nationalism a ton of bullshit.

Whenever the anthrax scare was happening, and everyone refused to open the mail, I did the math and figured that the likelihood of me dying from opening my mail was slightly less than that of me dying from an infection that I could theoretically get because I scraped my finger on the mailbox. You have to put things in perspective, we often blow some things we out of perspective. You aren't going to die because your lettuce was grown in mexico.

China has about the worst combination of corporations and government that can be imagined. Very little in the way of regulations for safety, quality, polloution, etc.
A very capitalistic socialistic system.
I think republicans are envious.

The maligning of mexican fruits and veggies always irked me, but in all honesty, I'm pretty nervous about consumables thatcome from china. And it looks like I have to be scared of utensils from China too.

I'm going to make a more concerted effort to stay away from them like Thorn.

Well that's fine, for both of you, honestly. If you are worried for your dog it's a good thing.

I just always try to play the skeptic.
