He already broke that one. He promised that not one form of taxes would be raised for anybody making under 250K. Then the "sin" taxes started flooding in...

However, logic and realization of the fact that corporations pass business costs, including taxation, directly to the consumer will get you there. It is silly to pretend that adding business costs will not raise prices.

They pretend that it isn't a consumption tax because it taxes the corporations' consumption and not your own. However the reality is that business costs are passed to consumers and this pretense is harmful.

they could care less about the poor..the poor to them are idiots and need Liberals to guide them with all their superior knowledge...

So walla, we have the Obama and his thugs in the white house riding to the rescue, with a 63 cents a pack tax(the highest enacted by any President) on cigarettes right off the bat..You see, that tax will hurt the wealthy and save the POOR...

and the cigarette tax, is just the beginning of them caring about the poor

True dat. This is also proof that the poor are poor because they are stupid.
 
Most of the poor are poor because they have different priorities than the rich. There is no reason to disparage people who put greater stake in things other than wealth.
