Thomas Sowell has been the darling of the neocon press punditry for some time now...his "unique" perspective being that he's a black American expousing the same viewpoints found in the print and broadcasts of the new conservative/ extreme right wing advocacy of his caucasian counterparts.

Well, Tommy has finally gone beyond the pale with his latest diatribe that portrays the Obama administration to Hitler's rise to political power and eventual dictatorship.....citing the BP/Gulf oil spill as a primary example.

The sad thing is, GOP members are SO strapped for an actual platform to run on in the up-coming elections that they are publically praising Sowell's silliness. Check this out:

Your collection of catch phrases and buzz words essential equal NOTHING. The idiotic "logic" of the rabid anti-Obama crowd is that ANY gov't regulation of private business is tantamount to fascism....which is a hilarious misconstruing of the very Constitution and Bill of Rights that we hold so dear. To date, our resident neocon numbskulls had NO problem with the gov't protectionism of large corporations in the form of financial bail outs...case in point the airlne industry. But when large corporations fail, and the gov't bails them out with taxpayers money, suddenly there is a hue and cry from the right wing parrots...but not so much for this obvious socialist move, but because the gov't insisted upon implementing rules and regulations to make sure the corporations would do the right thing and not continue on the same failed path!

Extraordinary, but not unexpected reaction from willfully ignorant and stubborn anti-Obama folks.

He has strongly cautioned against characterizing obama as anything other than a typical wrongheaded lib, not some nihilist totalitarian bringing a new world order. Which he actually is.

Tell him it's the difference between using a word or phrase as the sole response to a challenge as opposed to descriptions of what others are doing, if he's being particularly Bravo-dense at the time.
