Biden has already lowered our deficit by 1.76 trillion dollars.
Trump and his Republican led Senate, raised the deficit by 8 trillion dollars in just 4 years.

Biden previously mixed up the terms “debt” and “deficit” in December while touting the nation’s financial health under his stewardship — while the president incorrectly claimed earlier this month that the worst inflation since the early 1980s was “already there” when he took office.

The current national debt is up from $27.75 trillion when Biden took office, according to the Congressional Research Service — and $19.95 trillion in 2017 when former President Donald Trump took office.
The debt must be paid. The default could be catastrophic. McCarthy is doing brinkmanship to force Biden to cut significant programs he promised.

Start with, there are 435 congresspeople and you claim 2 dems who want to negotiate with Mccarty as important. We know Mccarthy has no intention of negotiating. He wants to keep the speaker job and pissing off the crazies will result in him losing it. Sitting down with Mccarthy is giving him more respect than he deserves. He will make a show out of it.
You are confusing budget with appropriations.You mean they do omnibus budgets. They need to get rid of base line budgeting and do their jobs of budgets for each department
Congress passes a budget bill (at least it used to) which roughly lays out proposed spending. Then Congress passes the appropriation bills which authorize spending.
Appears some on the right don’t understand what the debt ceiling is, it is not spending, spending is addressed in the budget, debt ceiling is all about paying bills that are due now. Normally, as the GOP did happily under the Trump era, Congress agrees on the debt ceiling, and then discusses spending and spending cuts under budget negotiations due at the end of the summer

Mccarthy is ransoming off the debt ceiling to keep his very weakened speakership. He is submitting to MTG and the rest of the LCD.
