The first rule of war is never to invade Russia.
On your other point, NATO is not fighting Russia in Ukraine, they supply funding, which most is used for civilian support during the war or equipment.
And what does Ukraine do with that equipment?
Let's say France or Germany sends them 20 tanks, they rush them to the front and Russia sit's back and hits them with artillery blowing them all up within minutes.
Ukraine has no command structure, they don't know how to use their limited forces in conjuncture, their entire military is a mess.
Russia on the other hand has spent many decades preparing for war with the US and NATO, they know how to use their forces together for the best effect.
Hell if Russia wanted to they could just send in a bunch of Tupelov T-95s in to bomb all of Ukraine's cities.
The war would be over in a matter of weeks.
Russia are the ones letting Ukraine throw themselves against the wall until support for them dries up which it looks like it is.
Putin didn't have to accept the invitation. He is a murderer. Trying to place the blame on others is failing to place responsibility where it belongs--on Putin.

You Stalinists are something else. The ONLY reason Putin is in Ukraine at all is because of Obama "being flexible" about him invading.

If NATO troops decided to march in, Putin would be gone in 24 hours.

Such great arguments you present. Putin has a huge number of detractors in his populace. But they are very careful when questioned not to cross the lines. You cannot call it a war. It is an operation. calling it a war can result in mental retraining. it is the youngsters who seem to cross the lines on occasion. Some just stop short.
Fantasy....Russians are much more free to speak freely than Americans are now.
