Hypocrites

You did not think that thru.

If Texas is just passing thru all their migrants to NY then Texas has no need for Federal money and ONLY NY does, so NY should keep getting money just as Texas is now, while dealing with migrants. That is what fair looks like.

If you were not so stupid you would see that obvious point and make smarter arguments.

THIS!!!! Illegal immigration has cost Texas billions.

Gov. Greg Abbott truck inspections turned up zero drugs, migrants but cost Texas $4.2 billion

The costly policy, which experts estimate cost hundreds of millions of dollars over the course of a single week, did not result in any migrant detentions or illegal substance seizures.

Gov. Greg Abbott increasing inspections of commercial trucks entering from Mexico in the hopes of staunching illegal smuggling activity resulted in zero migrants detentions or illegal drug seizures, despite allegedly costing the Lone Star State billions of dollars.

Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller stated in an email to supporters this week that the enhanced truck inspections cost Texas consumers and businesses an estimated $4.3 billion "despite not catching a single illegal alien or confiscating a single gram of illegal drugs."

Texas Spent Billions on Border Security. It’s Not Working.
Operation Lone Star, with $4.5 billion spent so far, has had little effect on migration while facing charges of civil-rights abuses.

In launching Operation Lone Star in March 2021, Abbott claimed the initiative would “combat the smuggling of people and drugs into Texas.” About four months later, the governor also directed state police and the National Guard to arrest some migrant men on criminal trespassing charges for crossing the border through private property.

Abbott, who is seeking reelection, expanded the operation.. He directed the Texas Department of Public Safety to inspect every commercial truck crossing into the U.S. through the state, a move that has drawn criticism for hampering border commerce. Abbott discontinued the inspections days later, saying he’d reached agreements with his Mexican counterparts to increase enforcement south of the border. Some of the security measures included in the agreements had already been in place in Mexico.

The governor also started busing migrants, who are processed and released by the federal government, to Washington, D.C., on a voluntary basis. Abbott said both measures were in response to the Biden administration’s decision to bring an end, in May, to Title 42, a pandemic-era emergency health order under which most migrants, including those seeking asylum, could be immediately turned away from the border.

What is costing Texas BILLIONS is Greg Abbott's failed- immigration policies.

So Abbott's enhanced truck inspections is stopping them from smuggling drugs and immigrants in commercial trucks. Great job.

Did I say that?

No, I just made the point that throwing a lot of money and effort into Border Patrol efforts to stop Drugs and People smuggling has not resolved the issue either.

It just seems, that people and drugs are going to be smuggled into this country no matter how much money and efforts we throw at the problem- no matter whether the money comes from federal, state or local purses!

We will never be able to prevent crime. Can we put laws and efforts into effect to try and curb it, YES!

But, we will never be able to stop crimes- and illegally entering the country or illegal drugs entering the country is just another crime.

If you think that it can be totally stopped, perhaps you have unreasonable expectations.

We will never be able to totally stop illegal smuggling, anymore than we can stop hurricanes from entering our shores!

Maybe they should just make drugs illegal.

Ah, give them all an abandoned house in Detroit to fix up. It's probably in better shape than the hovel in some Turd World slum they came from. Tell them it's really a mansion. There's an estimated 53,000 abandoned houses there. Plenty of room...

Here's a nice "fixer upper!" Comes complete with a fenced in yard...

A bit of an improvement over where they came from. They get a yard for the kids to play, and pee, in!
