If God were real, you wouldn’t need a book

Exactly. I'm not making an assertion. I'm saying that theists bear the burden of proof.
You ARE making an assertion, liar. You bear the burden of proof, as a theist by your own claim.
But it is not possible to prove no god or gods exist.
Nope. The people claiming gods exist are making assertions just as people who believe in astrology are making assertions.
Just as people claiming that no god or gods exist are making an assertion.
It's not my responsibility to disprove the existence of gods or astrology because neither has been proven in the first place.
Attempted negative proof fallacy.
Me saying "gods don't exist" or "astrology is fake" is just another way of saying "YOU haven't provided sufficient evidence to support your claim".
Attempted negative proof fallacy. You cannot make any evidence just disappear. Evidence is not quantity.
Again, the default isn't to believe claims until they are disproved.
It is not possible to prove whether any god or gods exist or not.
The burden is on those making the assertion.
You are making an assertion.

You militant atheists are free to believe in moral relativism, and that everything is just subject to opinion and cultural convention
There is no such thing as a 'militant atheist'. There is no such thing as 'moral relativism'. I am not an atheist. Buzzword fallacies.

Morals are set by cultures, religions, and by each individual.
I think that there is a universal moral truth and an absolute right and wrong.
Nope. You don't get to impose your morals on anybody else. You are not the king. Omniscience fallacy.
Torturing babies, disemboweling pregnant women, and gassing Jews is objectively wrong for all time and all place independent of human opinion or whim.
Nope. You don't get to impose your morals on anybody else. You are not the king. Omniscience fallacy.

I will because you've shown your hand by baselessly differentiating Santa from gods.
Way to go, Zen. Keep insisting. Just as people like Margot will insist back atcha.

You folk are all alike. Saying the words, "I do not know" is anathema to people.

Cute!

A 'negative assertion' is actually a positive assertion. The only difference is the NOT in front of it.
It is still an assertion. You cannot prove a negative using any positive assertion.
Right, so anyway....

I can prove to you that rocks exist. I can prove to you that the Earth is round. I can prove to you that the sun is the center of the solar system.

Explain how it's possible to prove something doesn't exist. Pick anything and explain how someone would prove it doesn't exist.

You have to be able to explain and justify your worldview.
This part is correct.
You believe the origin, and the lawful mathematical rationality of the universe is caused by purely inanimate and irrational physical reasons and pure chance.
The Universe is unorganized. The Universe is not mathematics. The Universe is not logic. Buzzword fallacies.
So exactly why is the most logical explanation that the rational could come from the irrational; that something could from nothing; that lawful order could come from chance and chaos?
Random phrases. No apparent coherency. Buzzword fallacies.

Same question to you...

I can prove to you that rocks exist. I can prove to you that the Earth is round. I can prove to you that the sun is the center of the solar system.

I doubt that...but, give it a try.

I can prove to you that rocks exist. I can prove to you that the Earth is round. I can prove to you that the sun is the center of the solar system.

Okay, within reason, I can do the same...although Richard Feynman would probably disagree with us. He often noted that "proving" something involved a much more rigorous process than most people suppose. But as I said within reason, I can do the same.

So what?
Explain how it's possible to prove something doesn't exist. Pick anything and explain how someone would prove it doesn't exist.
Well, I doubt anyone could prove that something doesn't exist...except for direct contradictions.

SO ANYONE STUPID ENOUGH TO ASSERT THAT SOMETHING DOES NOT EXIST...PLACES HIM/HERSELF IN THE POSITION YOU FIND YOURSELF IN.

Shit out of luck...and often, as in your case, not ethical enough to concede the error.

An intelligent person realizes he cannot PROVE something does not exist...and doesn't proclaim his/her ignorance by making such an assertion...

...the way you did.

Anything else I can help you with?
