If You Want More Gun Control

Fucking pass some more legislation in the blue states where these incidents have been occurring recently. Surely in leftist bastions such as Connecticut and Oregon, there are plenty of gun nuts who wish to erode gun rights and overturn the 2nd Amendment!

2) Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose: For example, concealed weapons prohibitions have been upheld under the Amendment or state analogues. The Court’s opinion should not be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms. Miller’s holding that the sorts of weapons protected are those “in common use at the time” finds support in the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of dangerous and unusual weapons. Pp. 54–56

Well, the common use doctrine. That's not the argument I would use, as the AR15 type rifle has been the biggest seller in America for 5-6 years now, meaning it certainly is in common use. You also don't seem to be aware or the 1st Miller trial, D.C. v. Miller 1937, where the court said the 2A was both an individual right and protected all arms that were potentially useful in a military instance.

Actually, that'd be you. You don't know what you're talking about, at any level in this discussion. You have only emotion to go on, and emotion is not something law, policy, or any rational decision, should be based on.

the current scotus says gun bans are constitutional.

You keep saying that, but all court cases say otherwise, even the one you cited. You cannot ban guns in common use, or those that are of military usefulness, and the 2A is incorporated under the 14th, so it's not just a federal issue.

Damn good idea.....you wanna ban guns, do it state by state....put legislation on a state referendum.....
