Is crime up?

Any data on that? Or is it just something else Willie said?
Do you leave your front door unlocked and your garage door open? Remember those days ..;)

I leave the garage door open all the time, so the cat can get in. Never lock the front door except at night.

I am not running for president and have never attacked others for doing as I do.

We solved the bike etc theft problem...
Our little hood's teenage genius offers custom printed brackets to blend in with your bike...mower...golf cart...lol...etc... and hide your AirTag. His standard rate for this 3D print is $15.... Items are quickly recovered.... It takes a village.... And it will take a president who's tough on crime to stop the crime waves happening in The US...That is not Kam or Tim...

Trump said the crime rate is up...

Is that really true?

Violent is crime down, thanks to Joe Biden | PennLive letters

Every American deserves the freedom to feel safe in their community. Since Joe Biden took office, America has become safer. According to preliminary data in two new reports, violent crime continued to fall to historic lows in the first half of 2024.

One report from the University of Chicago shows “unprecedented” declines in crime across multiple categories, including homicides and motor vehicle thefts, across more than 40 cities. Another report, from the Council on Criminal Justice, found that homicides decreased by 13%, motor vehicle theft fell by 18%, and violent crime fell overall in more than two dozen cities.

This progress is no accident. After the largest increase in murders ever recorded during the previous administration, the Biden administration got to work protecting the American people. Biden’s American Rescue Plan — which every Republican voted against — delivered more than $15 billion to cities to hire and retain more cops, invest in community violence interventions, and keep communities safe.

The Biden Administration took dozens of actions to reduce gun violence and Biden signed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act into law, the most significant gun violence legislation in nearly 30 years.

There is more work to do. President Biden will continue fighting for funding for 100,000 additional police officers and crime prevention community violence intervention programs. And he will continue to call for Congress to ban assault weapons and keep guns out of dangerous hands.
