It isn't about marriage and "equal rights"

This is at the core of the issue. Making laws based solely on religious beliefs is blatantly unconstitutional. Yet, oddly, the people who crow the loudest about many things being unconstitutional are the very ones wanting their religious views to be part of the law in this case.

The ones who want homosexual marriage, something that has never been part of our great country, are the ones pushing their beliefs on others. Christian views have been around since time began, when God spoke, and created.

BUT, and you may be unaware of this, the Holy scriptures of the Giant Bunny of Bacup state quite clearly that homosexuality and heterosexuality are simply different ways the Giant Bunny of Bacup wishes you to practice your love for each other.
Now be fair. You can't argue with that. The Giant Bunny has written it through his disciple Saint Arnold Hogsbotham of Waterfoot so it must be true.

You don't always sound like a simpleton, but when you do it's when you post on JPP

So you should be allowed to steal, and murder, lie?

There were laws concerning those things and marriage that preexisted the biblical verses related to them.

Just because one's premise for a law is not "because the bible says so" does not mean one will not come to the same or similiar conclusions as the bible does on some matters.

Those are God's laws so if they were in the beginning then maybe it's because they were ingrained in his people, then later he came along and made it formal. New commandment just for you, don't be a dumbass ,I know that may be impossible, but do try.

I thought they were Jewish, lol.

You believe they are laws from God, others do it share your belief.

And your proof of that is? Yeah, the bible.

There were others that made it formal before there was any mention of such things in any Bible.

Whether you share my beliefs or not doesn't matter, God is real whether you believe or not.

God is real to you, you have faith there is a god, I do not share your faith or belief, therefore, your beliefs should not be imposed on others.

Did anyway say anything of the sort? Because something is also a religious law does not mean anything. There were laws against murder and stealing before the 10 Commandments were written. What we mean is that laws cannot be based solely on religious dogma. (this is exactly why I always add "solely" to my comments.)

Yeah, if you want to base your world on the myth of the Genesis creation, feel free. But the rest of us realize that it is indeed a myth.

No one is shoving anything down your throat. Why is it so hard to understand that gay marriage would change nothing. There would not be MORE gays. The ones that are here would still live as they do now (perhaps with less persecution). The only changes would be the benefits that they would gain, which have no effect on you whatsoever.

Unless you are one of those lunatics that belive the garbage like the claim that God sent hurricane Katrina to destroy New Orleans because of all the homosexuals living there.
