LBJ's "Great Society" was just another lacklustre leftist (socialist) Utopian "pipe dream."



All of the major federal and state policy initiatives that were implemented by Johnson's administration to create his vision of the "Great Society", not only failed in his own time, but still blight America today.



For example, Johnson declared during a speech at the University of Michigan, that he WOULD CURE POVERTY in America.



Not just help to alleviate the burden of poverty in America, but to ensure that NO INDIVIDUAL - NO, MAN, WOMAN or CHILD - would be living in poverty (as it was officially defined in 1964).



So LBU launches the "WAR on POVERTY". This was a collection of policies that all aimed to tackle poverty by the same method . That method was to throw Federal and state revenue at poor people so that they could have at least same amount of (material) goods and services as Americans who were not viewed as being poor (i.e. to put them comfortably above the official "poverty line")

The truth is that when LBJ implemented his "War on Poverty" agenda in 1964, it was Black Americans who constituted the majority - (by far) - of poor individuals and households in the United States.




So LBJ's Welfare state (created to CURE POVERTY) handed out all sorts of "free Stuff" to Blacks living below the poverty line.Free housing, free food (SNAP), free SSI, free health care, free special educational programs (like "Head Start", free unemployment benefits, even free cash for use in certain situations.




And guess what? NONE of it WORKED. LBJ's "War on Poverty" was a complete and utter costly failure (It is estimated that LBJ blew something like 25 trillion dollars -in todays money- of tax -dollars his "Great Society" programs , in particular, the Welfare programs that were set up to wage the "Wage on Poverty". If you work for a living, Anchovies, then whether you know it or not, you are still paying off the massive debt that LBJ created with is massive and utterly reckless spending between 1964 and 1968.




LBJ - A TEXT-BOOK EXAMPLE OF A FIRST-CLASS, SOCIALIST, DEMOCRAT DICKHEAD....



Lyndon Johnson is was a "text-book" example of a socialist (who unfortunately became POTUS). He displayed all the attributes of a socialist "Grand Pooh Bah" - i.e. a tin-pot Dictator of the United States, namely....


a pathological Narcissist who believed he was entitled to , basically, do as he wished. This was because..






(1)LBJ was a pathological narcissist with a monumental sense of entitlement. He was offensively arrogant, and as vulgar and ignorant - as a barnyard male pig who is screwing a sow. But Lyndon believed he possessed superior knowledge and wisdom to all other ("mortal") human beings (just like Lenin, Stalin, Chairman Mao Zedong; Nicolas Maduro, Fidel Castro and "Brother Number !" - the delightful, Pol Pot). When it came to running America in the best possible way. LBJ never doubted that he had all the answers.




* (2)LBJ a bully, who stood 6'4" and was strongly build. Johnson was well known to use his physical "presence" to intimidate Democrat polticans into, for example, supporting legislation he was trying to pass. This happened so regularly it can to be known by many in his administration as "The Johnson Treatment."




(3) This meant he , and only he, knew how to CURE poverty in the United States. He and only, he, knew exactly how to transform America into his vision of "The Great Society" The "Great Society" is LBJ's term for the United States becoming an "American Dream" utopia- you know, where every American is living life life the "Brady Bunch" Where everyone is healthy and happy and well-mannered, and law-abiding and always striving to do (the right thing); has a decent, satisfying job , and is financially comfortable (for example, can afford to buy their own family home and automobile).




As mentioned,LBJ was a UTOPIST. He had an unshakable belief in the notion that it is possible for human beings to progress toward some ideal state of society, where there is: no hunger; no want; no misery or (spiritual) suffering; no poverty; no racial/gender/sexual preference/economic (class) discrimination/ injustice universal social justice, where society is a collective 'Brotherhood and Sisterhood of man" and hatred has been extinguished.




Unfortunately there is no such thing as UTOPIA. Thus, there is no point in a government implementing radical/extreme, reformist policies they THINK will be successful in progressing their society further towards the goal of actually REALISING UTOPIA ("Heaven on Earth").




For instance, LBJ< claimed during a speech he gave in 1964, that he WOULD CURE POVERTY, That meaning END poverty once and for all, so that there LITERALLY BE NO POOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE US Any man, with even a modest understanding of human nature (the human condition) and even a modest knowledge of the broad sweep of human history, know (as the Bible states) that the "poor will always be with us." They always have been, throughout the 6,000, or so, year history of Human civilisation. -they are - and they always will be a substantial part of human societies. LBJ, however, because he had an ego that was as bloated as "The Hindenburg"{/I]; because he believed that the sun shone out of his own ass-hole, didn't need to take any advice from anyone else.




Socialist and Communist regimes always cause tremendous damage to their societies. LBJ LBJ ticks this box. He decides that the best way to eradicate poverty in America is to simply throw money at the poor. Or , to put it another way, to provide "for free" any basic/essential goods and services" that an American/s who are living in poverty cannot afford to buy for themselves.





But LBJ, - because he was in such a rush to transform America into a Utopia where, in particular, the scourge of poverty had beeb eliminated{/B] - ,ended up throwing (the equivalent of) Trillions of government tax - dollars into his "War on Poverty". in the form of WELFARE.. Well, guess what? I'll tell you. Throwing money at a social ill like poverty doesn't work. This is because the existence of poverty in human societies is caused by multiple distinctive factors that often overlap and inter-twine in a complex manner. That is, poverty is not just an economic (material) phenomenon, you can't get rid of it just by pumping cash into the problem. Poverty can be the result of psychological factors like "motivation" or "General Intelligence" (IQ level, or poverty can be the result of immorality (e.g. whether or not a person has been raised, as a child, to respect the traditional US "work ethic"); it can also be the result of alcohol and/or drug abuse/addiction. There are myriad different causes of poverty like these; so the notion that ALL poverty in America was caused solely by economic factors (i.e the lack money) and that - basically - if the Federal government and state governments gave poor Americans enough money (enough "free stuff") exposed LBJ's outrageous, "Pollyanna"-like naivety..






AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THROWING WELFARE CHEQUES AT POVERTY WILL NOT ELIMINATE IT - AND CAN VERY OFTEN MAKE IT WORSE





Here one example. LBJ's "War on Poverty", Welfare State provided quite generous benefits to single-mother families. During Richard Nixon's administration, Nixon was personally briefed by an authoritative sociologist (Dr Daniel Moynahan) that the cluster of social pathologies that exited (and still exist) in Black communities were highly correlated with single-mother families. Moynahan explained that children who grow up in broken families , especial where they have a mother but no father are vulnerable to a wide range of negative life outcomes, such as: educational underperformance/ failure; occupational failure and chronic unemployment, financial failure and long-term poverty; a higher risk for drug and alcohol abuse/addiction; juvenile delinquency; teen pregnancies; a higher risk for psychological/psychiatric disorder, notably suicidal ideation/completed suicide. So, ALL OF THIS WAS BACKED BY SOLID, EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE and we know Moynahan got dead right back in the late 1960s/1970, because the same kind of research (as Moynahan's) that has been conducted in the US over, say, the past decades, is 100% consistent with his original research findings; the only difference being that the modern research shows the that children who are raised in Single-Mother Families have even bleaker prospects than Moynahan found.





What Daniel Moynahan discovered was that the rate of break-down of Black (marital) family units had been accelerated by Welfare. Similarly, the number of single,Black mother who had never been married . In short, there was a large and growing number of Black single-mother families in Black communities across America. This observation was best explained by the fact that married or single Black females were now able be able to have their own children children without having to be married and dependent on their husbands for financial support. This was because as a unmarried mother they could apply for and receive enough financial assistance in the form of government Welfare payments, to have all of their material needs comfortably met. In the case of married Black couples with children, the existence of generous single-mother Welfare support undermined the cohesion of the marital bond. Rather that muddle and struggle through the interpersonal tiffs and arguments that all husbands and wives have, in a particularly "rough patch" of a Black couple's marriage, the mother of the family may singly tell her husband to fuck off - permanently. This extremely easy to do (legally speaking) and the mother will then be able bring up the family children via Welfare support.






I have no doubt whatsoever that there are many young, Black girls who view Welfare - supported single motherhood as something of a "norm" in Black communities. A 16 -17 year old Black girl might very often have no moral qualms about leading a promiscuous lifestyle (they would certainly be strong encourage along this path by young Black males (Who have notably high levels of libido (i.e. sex-drive). The fear of becoming pregnant does little to deter these girls from "screwing around", because if the do get pregnant and want to keep their child they can always rely on Welfare (if they don't wish to have a child, they can simply have an abortion. Finally there is the case of a young Black woman who deliberately and intention plans to become a single mother who bring up her child/children on Welfare. Such a young woman would self a father for her child (according to whatever attributes/ criteria she values in males), then seduce him into a sexual relationship. As soon as she discovers she has become pregnant she tells the "sperm donor" to "hit the road, Jack. Then when her baby is born the Welfare state gives her a house and whatever else she needs to get by comfortably.







Right now in America there is a serious problem in the form of SINGLE MOTHER FAMILIES Children who are raised in a family WITHOUT a father are at serious risk for all sorts of negative life outcomes. That's a FACT. If you don't believe me google the relevant statistic. It is not just Black single-mother families, but also a large and growing number of White American women who are now bringing up children without a husband or male partner, who are contributing to the magnitude and extent of the overall social pathology in the US.



This dreadful problem was caused by two factor that first emerged at about the same time (i.e. the late 1960s/early 1970s)....




(1) Lyndon B. Johnson's welfare programs, specifically those that undermined the stability/cohesion of the traditional, Western, heterosexual (patriarchal) family unit.



(The pernicious influence of the feminist movement (especially the" Second Wave" feminist movement that emerged in the late 1960). Second-Wave feminism told American women that they did not need to rely on males in any way. This, of course, included the decision to have a family. The feminists said (and STILL tend to preach) that women do not need to be married and have a husband to start their own family. No, not at all. They can just go out to some bar, fuck some dude they think has got "good genes" a few times (or as often as it takes) to get pregnant. Then, when you have your baby, if you're not solvent financially you just sign on to Welfare; or, if you're a wealthy single woman, you hire a permanent child-minder to look after your offspring 24/7 and continue working - during the days- at your posh job as a corporate executive or top lawyer ( at night you haunt elite bars and knock back cocktail with the hip-crowd; you often end up getting a bit tiddly and fond a 20 year old boy - or girl - in your bed the next morning ).





LYNDON JOHNSON'S WELFARE UTOPIA - THE "GREAT SOCIETY" - NEVER BECAME A REALITY, BUT IT LEFT A VERY SHITTY LEGACY.




LBJ never made any progress towards a "GREAT SOCIETY". The entire mission to progress America forward to an "AMERICAN DREAM"-TYPE UTOPIA, where for instance, POVERTY IN AMERICA HAD BEEN PERMANENTLY CURED was a complete and utter failure. Whenever you hear a politician speaking passionately about some grandiose vision he has for the "GREAT SOCIETY", or how he will RADICALLY TRANSFORM AMERICA because at present it is "shit"(like Obama) or how he will as Joe Biden insisted "BUILD BACK BETTER" (i.e. destroy the existing America, burn down the whole status quo" even where there's nothing wrong with it, then build a better one up from the ashes; then, folks, you can be sure you are listening to a dickhead; a raving leftist/socialist maniac Lyndon Johnson is responsible for the gargantuan, blood-sucking Federal Welfare state that has its fangs deep in the necks of those ordinary, working Americans who are trying to put a few bucks together and get ahead. I could continue the list above, it is hardly exhaustive. But, in short, iWelfare is justified for people who have severe and legitimate problems, like blindness, deafness, multiple sclerosis, paraplegia, or serious legitimate and diagnosed mental disorders like: Down's Syndrome, acute psychosis, schizophrenia or Bipolar Disorder ( not those ass-holes who feign the symptoms of psychiatric disorders to take extended breaks from work, and the like) I fully accept that there are people who are incapacitated by a severe congenital disorder or an acquired medical or psychiatric condition that completely incapacitates them for the purposes of doing any kind of paid work. I have no problem whatsoever with the government providing Welfare support in these kind of cases. But most reasonable, average, American citizens would agree with me when I say that I think that there are many persons receiving welfare payments who cannot justify their position.



A FINAL WORD OF ADVICE....





ALWAYS REMEMBER, ANYTHING TO DO WITH SOCIALISM/COMMUNISM- e.g: LBJ; BARACK OBUMMAH; BLOW-HOLE JOE BIDEN - IN AMERICAN POLITICS IS GUARANTEED EVIL AND POTENTIALLY DESTRUCTIVE.

ONE reason is that there were two major distractors: (1) One way the way that he attained power - by succeeding the slain John F Kennedy caused some of his critics to focus (scornfully) on this(2) The agony of the Vietnam war. likewise diverted attention (3) Lyndon Johnson was an effective networker and he succeeded in cultivating or otherwise entangling several prominent journalists, as well as Katherine Graham, the owner of the Washington Post. These personal tied are said to have undermined a lot of objectivity in the press.

From now on, the Republicans are never going to get more than 10 to 20 percent of the Negro vote and they don't need any more than that... but Republicans would be shortsighted if they weakened enforcement of the Voting Rights Act.
