Only four of the nine Supreme Court justices were in attendance for Trump's speech, where he scolded them for their "very unfortunate ruling" on tariffs

During his speech at the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday, Feb. 24, the president made several pointed remarks at the members of the Supreme Court. Only four justices were present — Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justices Elena Kagan, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett — but that didn't stop Trump from criticizing the court as a whole for their decision.

The Court is not Congress, Gunky. The speech is given ot a joint session of Congress.

You need to go back in history. FDR was the first, and last, President to pack the Supreme Court with justices that rubber stamped all of his policies.
FDR was bad, and I am not an expert in court history, but my understanding is that the court improved for a coupe/few decades till corrupt and generally declining Washington establishment decided that the law is not important, and turned SCOTUS into a second Ledg.

So the JPP Marxists love Comey Barrett now? Love all of her rulings?

Funny when democrats criticize the Supreme Court you don’t hear these Marxists whine and complain do you?

It is hilarious that the OP is trying to insinuate that the Justices didn’t show up because of Trumps criticism.

It really should have said that despite harsh criticism Barret and Roberts still showed up while 72 demalquedacrats boycotted like petulant children

When did FDR "pack the Supreme Court"? He did talk about it, but did not do it. Maybe if you had read some more history... Well then you would not have been you.
He first tried to do this overtly:

When that didn't work, he simply got to keep nominating new justices until the court was packed with his "Yes" men, like

This is how FDR eventually got the New Deal enacted into law after over 90% of it was tossed out as blatantly unconstitutional by the sitting Justices during FDR's first term.

Did FDR pack the Supreme Court?

Franklin D. Roosevelt did attempt to “pack” the Supreme Court, but Congress rejected the plan, so the Court was never actually expanded. The episode refers to the Judicial Procedures Reform Bill of 1937, a proposal that would have allowed FDR to add up to six additional justices to the Court.

What FDR Tried to Do

FDR introduced the bill after the Supreme Court struck down several major New Deal programs. His proposal would have:
  • Added one new justice for every sitting justice over age 70 who did not retire
  • Allowed up to six new justices, potentially expanding the Court from 9 to 15
  • Shifted the Court’s ideological balance in favor of New Deal legislation
This is why it became known as the “court‑packing plan.”

Why He Tried It

Between 1935 and 1936, the Court invalidated key New Deal laws, including the National Recovery Administration and parts of the Agricultural Adjustment Act. FDR, fresh off a landslide 1936 reelection, sought a structural change to protect his legislative agenda.

What Happened to the Plan

The proposal met strong bipartisan resistance, including from many Democrats and even Vice President John Nance Garner. Congress refused to pass it, and FDR suffered a political setback.

However, shortly after the plan was announced, the Court began upholding New Deal–style regulations, most famously in West Coast Hotel Co. v. Parrish (1937). Some observers called this “the switch in time that saved nine,” though scholars debate whether the shift was actually caused by FDR’s proposal.

What It Means Today

  • FDR proposed court packing.
  • Congress rejected it.
  • The Supreme Court remained at nine justices.
  • The episode remains a major historical example of conflict between the executive branch and the judiciary.

The Supremes have given Trump what he wanted in case after case. People were shocked at how bad many decisions were. But one decision he does not like and they are now bought out by foreign countries, and are corrupt. No matter what you do for Trump, if you do one thing he does not like, you are disloyal and corrupt. He will flay you in public. Loyalty is a one-way street with Trump. You are all living on the edge.` Trump's cruelty has no bounds.
