Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows reportedly decided to cooperate in Special Counsel Jack Smith's prosecution of Donald Trump.

The New York Times reported Tuesday that Meadows was initially reluctant to answer questions about classified documents and Trump's attempts to stay in office after the 2020 election.

"But when prosecutors working for the special counsel, Jack Smith, challenged Mr. Trump's executive privilege claims before a judge, Mr. Meadows pivoted," the paper reported.

"Even though he risked enraging Mr. Trump, he decided to trust Mr. Smith's team, according to a person familiar with the matter. Mr. Meadows quietly arranged to talk with them not only about the steps the former president took to stay in office, but also about his handling of classified documents after he left.

Why is there so much crime in Republican presidential administrations?

So in the last five Democratic Presidential administrations there were seven indictments and three convictions.

While in the last five Republican administrations there were 126 indictments and 113 convictions.

Prolly because they are not as smart at hiding it as the democrats.

A more likely explanation than Democats are criminal masterminds always one step ahead of the law, is that Republican presidential administrations literally are just more crime ridden.

What a crock of shit.

If he was working with Smith it would certainly be in private.

Anyone who leaked that would probably be subject to criminal charges.

Another lie by the NYT.

Do you really think Smith is going to tip of Trumps defense team on an issue like this and give them time to prepare for it?

God you people are so gullible.

It is time for all of you who said "They will never get away with doing that to Trump" to wake up and smell the coffee.

It is much later than you know.

The Revolution rarely loses.

WAKEY WAKEY

Another rat jumps ship.

Trump is fucking up...again....by abandoning those who supported him. What can they do but cooperate with the Feds?

How JPP MAGAts can continue to support a lying, corrupt POS like Pedo Don when he always fucks over his supporters is a mystery to me.

‘Why Isn’t MAGA Inc. Funding Everyone’s Defense?’
The list of co-defendants includes a former school teacher, a pastor and a publicist – all of whom put their lives and careers on the line for Trump and now want to know who will cover their legal fees.
As of earlier this month, former President Donald Trump’s political action committee, Save America, had already spent more than $40 million dating back to 2021 on his legal fees stemming from dozens of federal and state charges related to his mishandling of classified documents and hush money paid to porn star Stormy Daniels, among many other things.

The costs were so staggering that the leadership PAC, which has been bankrolling Trump’s legal defense, also reportedly requested a refund on a $60 million contribution – signaling it knew those fees were set to balloon.

Now, the twice-impeached former president is staring down 91 criminal charges stemming from four indictments – the latest of which also names 18 of his closest allies as co-defendants in a sprawling racketeering scheme in Georgia to spread conspiracy theories, pressure elected officials and prop up fake electors in an attempt to remain in power despite having lost the 2020 presidential election in a free and fair vote.

The 18 co-defendants include former Trump administration officials, such as former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and former acting Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Clark, and a host of high-profile attorneys – among them, Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell and Jenna Ellis.

But the list also includes much lesser known individuals – a former public school teacher, a pastor, a publicist, a bond bail businessman – all of whom put their personal lives and professional careers on the line for Trump and now want to know who will cover their legal fees.,,,

...Trump has yet to announce any type of aid for others caught up in his attempt to undermine the 2020 election, despite the fact that he’s been campaigning and fundraising off his mounting legal woes. His various PACs, Save America and Make American Great Again, also known as MAGA Inc, have similarly been mum on the issue.

Ellis, who had raised $92,515 at the time of this publication through a crowdfunding site to support her legal defense, took to social media earlier this week to call out Trump.

“I was reliably informed Trump isn’t funding any of us who are indicted,” she said on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. "Would this change if he becomes the nominee? Why then, not now?”

That my dear is one of your most ignorant replies. However, if it makes you feel better, helps you sleep at night, just keep believing it.

Isn't that grounds for a mistrial?

What would make you think that the government has not given the defense a list of all witnesses against them.

Tink suggested it. I think she's wrong, but if she's correct then wouldn't that be grounds for either a mistrial or an appeal?

The odds favor both Smith and Georgia have the goods on Trump's Traitors and these fuckers are going to prison...unless they cut a deal.
