Most of what this libertarian doofus points out is erroneous. They've been fighting for independence for a hundred years? Klein was obviously referring to a specific event, and my guess is she got the date right.

Also, Friedman predicted China will become free politically, it won't happen overnight, their economy still isn't that free and it's not like you open markets and you have instant political freedom. He has predicted many future Tienamin {sp?} squares. Also, Toppy is right, just think how much better they are and how many more choices individuals have in just the short time China has opened their markets.

China has cracked down on the Chinese people since the Tianaman square incident. They have gotten less free, not more.
 
China, Singapore... these nations truly prove that fascist economic policies are more "efficient" than free market ones. Do I want efficiency? Fuck no. I want quality of life, something Libertarians refuse to believe exists in any other form than a nations GDP.
