New young voter data spells good news for progressives — and bad news for Trump and the GOP

A pollster at Harvard University pointed to a persistent sense of precarity in the lives of young voters as a key reason behind new data that shows Americans aged 18-29 have significantly more progressive views than young people did even five years ago.

Data analyzed by the Harvard Youth Poll, which releases survey results focused on young voters every spring, found that a clear majority take a progressive outlook on what John Della Volpe, director of the poll, called the "big four" political issues that respondents are asked about: LGBTQ+ rights, economic inequality, climate action, and gun violence.

Excellent news! Plus young voters now outnumber us Boomers. DeSatan's "war on woke" might play well in silver-haired Florida, but it won't sell well with this cohort nationwide.

The young voters are pro-clean environment, pro-choice and want education to have a reasonable cost. The Repubs are against all those. So they will do everything possible to keep them from voting.

I personally know people who used to be more right leaning who have had their kids set them straight with the real facts which made them change their stances

The kids have the most to lose

Parents usually have some trust of their kids motivations

The USPS was founded by the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia in 1775, at the beginning of the American Revolution. Benjamin Franklin was appointed the first postmaster general; he also served a similar position for the American colonies.[10] The Post Office Department was created in 1792 with the passage of the Postal Service Act.

And herein lies the reason for my discouragement.
Except for economic inequality, these social issues are NOT the things about which I care most.

I care about health care, education, and strong unions a lot more.

Just another example of how people my age aren't living in their own world anymore.
We're stuck in a new generation's world which makes leaving it, perhaps, a little easier to take.
