WTF? I didn't attack his family! I didn't even 'allege' anything! I am simply stating a fact, a lot of people will 'perceive' Obama to be Muslim, regardless! I told you why that might be the case, and it has nothing to do with my personal opinions on the matter, it's just how people are. When you start adding all this shit up, it builds a pretty fucking good argument for not voting for him. I'm not saying it's true, it doesn't have to be true! If people perceive it to be the truth, it doesn't matter if it is or not. You, of all people, should know that.

You say "the American people are not completely stupid, and things keep cropping up like this." If they don't look into this themselves, and accept what every bigot like you says, then they ARE stupid, by definition.

And weren't you in w/ the crowd that was ridiculing me for saying racism will cost him the election? How is that different from saying the "Muslim affiliation" (whatever that is) will be the "kiss of death" for him?

Hypocrite. If McCain wins, after the election, you'll be telling us all about how "conservative values" won the day...

I clearly went out of my way to indicate this had nothing to do with my personal viewpoint. I merely stated how some people perceive Obama, and the events which have unfolded, just happen to play into that perception. The fact that you are reacting in a hypersensitive manner to it, is proof of my point.
 
I don't think anyone knows what ties he has with the Muslim faith, if any at all. I do know that, after listening to Mr Wright for 20 years, that his Christian faith can't be too much either.
 
I'm not going to vote for Obama but his name has nothing to do with it. While his name might cause some not to vote for him, the number won't be that big. The only other candidate I've seen ridiculed so much for his name this year was Mike Huckabee. It is ridiculous.

Grind, it seems you've graduated from the AssClown Schools of Refutation. No offense, but shouldn't you at least make an attempt at explaining why it's stupid? After you've explained that, please explain what is stupid about the argument that many people will wonder about this. People do change their Christian names to Islamic names when they convert, and I don't know of anyone who has ever converted from Islam to Christianity, but wouldn't it make logical sense for them to change their name back to a Christian name, if they did?

Frankly, I don't care if his name is Yankee Doodle, he is a Liberal Socialist, and that trumps being a Muslim, in my opinion.

I honestly don't think that among those who say it is his name that will cause it, that it really is the cause. I think among that group the pigmentation is likely to be the main theme in the center, the one that they don't even want to look at.
