Old Photos

This is a stunning photograph from 1862. The image shows a Civil War Ambulance crew removing the wounded from a battle field. It shows a horse-drawn ambulance, and the Zouave uniforms of this unit.

Where does your friend get these photos from? I checked the first using google image search and found it here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/79376012157730645/

I do photography and use care if I photograph something that there is no copyright infringement. But old photos should be past the copyright date. I have seen old images copyrighted, especially signs and slogan stuff. Google images has a zillion photos of just about everything, digital technology has made everyone a photographer. But I don't miss the darkroom chemicals.

They're ones that are sent to him, by someone he knows, and then he forwards them out.
