Palin under bus run over, mccain backs up runs her over again

Certain campaign “insiders” are, and have been, engaged in an effort to throw Governor Sarah Palin under the bus for –- in their estimation — bringing the McCain ticket down. These Benedict Arnolds have leaked everything from alleged Palin “tantrums” to rumored “shopping sprees” and a seemingly exaggerated tall tale that tries to paint Palin as inappropriate for opening the door to her hotel room one morning in a towel. In my estimation the only thing that smacks of inappropriateness is the behavior of these staffers.

The fact that FOX News’ Carl Cameron ticked off a litany of these accusations, in addition to a specific list of subject areas where the offended felt Palin was less than knowledgeable, reveals their classless effort to undermine her in order to conceal their own shortcomings.

No conservatives seem to be talking about this like I thought they would have. I mean it was all 'THE MEDIA' who was attacking her when barack was running

These are bitter MODERATE republicans who fucked up and LOST the election, due to their OWN incompetent campaign. It's NOT Sarah Palin's fault John McCain is a RINO, and his 'wing' of the Republican party might as well be a caucus of the Democrat party! Yes, people with an (R) beside their name, are bashing on Palin now, trying to cast the blame off on her, but it's not her fault! She probably prevented it from being an unmerciful landslide, truth be told!

well are you mad at John for being a douche to her?? his staffers really have been quite mean to her... more than the "elite" media.

Rush Linbaugh quote.

She wasn't right for a Federal position. That is McCains fault, she seems to be a fine Gov and her 90% approval rating before this tells you this. Unless you consider 90% of Alaskans idiots who don't understand their own interests.

First of all, it was never 90%. Second of all, it has fallen to 65% now. Third of all, the approval was from men looking at her ass, as she had done no actions ever to deserve such a high approval rating.

Holy crap! I spit coffee all over on that one.

I think Sarah is hot, but she added nothing to the ticket and lost votes for McCain. But McCain did it to himself. He sucked, Sarah was hot and I wanna do her, and the race is over. Anyone blaming anybody other than McCain is an idiot.

No, when she was drawing 30,000...40,000 people to her rallies, and McCain was drawing 5,000...10,000, you can't say she didn't bring votes to McCain. If you want to believe the liberal propaganda and hate speech, that's up to you. I think they must be using some sort of subliminal message to make people believe their bullshit, it's the only explanation I can come up with. You've been brainwashed.

Palin is hot, but she also articulates a strong conservative message. The problem was, after McCain picked her, he got scared (as always) and pulled away from conservatives (as always) and tried to appease liberals (as always) with a series of stupid and foolish interviews for Plain, and canned McCainian rhetoric for her to repeat. That is precisely what lost this election for him, he completely mishandled Palin, as well as the financial crisis.

Palin may not be 'The One' for Conservatives in 2012, it may be that the liberal mind-controllers have so brainwashed idiots like you, that she simply can't overcome the negative image. But I believe she has the ability to do what Reagan did, and rally the huge Conservative base, and revive Conservatism in America. Time will tell.

Or maybe Palin appealed to conservatives and that's it and the "center-right" country rejected her message. Meaning, yes she brought the base into the Republican folds but at the expense of the "center-right" rest of the country resulting in a net loss of votes for McCain.

What caused McCain to lose?

He looked like an idiot when he tried to "suspend" the campaign to go to DC to try and get Congressmen to agree on emotive reactionary legislation, then when it didn't pass he continued his campaign (unsuspended) ran around trying to say he had done something (he had but it didn't appear that way and perception matters in a campaign) then going back and voting yes on a bill with all the pork in the world stinking it up while not "making them famous" and trying to maintain he was the only candidate "anti-pork" enough to be eaten as a Kosher meal.

He stank up his campaign all on his own, it didn't take anybody else and it would have happened even if he picked God as a running mate as long as he looked erratic and foolish during a crisis.

I agree he handled the bailout/economy poorly; I wonder if he regrets not opposing the bill, and fighting against it.

But Palin definitely cost them the indie vote; indies liked McCain for years, but Obama won that group. The mere choice of Palin made them question McCain's judgment, and her rhetoric turned them off for good.

She's cooked for the future in national politics. I think the idea of her getting a talk show is probably the most plausible.

The "center rights" were who supported Palin, they rejected McCain. McCain tried to appeal to the so-called "Moderates" and they all voted for Obama... well, not all... but 7 out of 10 voted for Obama... 2 accidentally voted McCain, and 1 accidentally hung himself while trying to vote. McCain lost because he chased after the ever-elusive "moderates" who were never going to vote for him. Palin drew the only true conservative votes.

She repelled as many votes or more than she attracted.

HAHAHA, McCain panicked and caved in by allowing Palin to do interviews with the mainstreem media.....

:corn: man, it sure is fun watching repubs implode.

I saw a picture of a large group of the most depressed Republicans you've ever seen on election night. Some were even crying.

They've earned it. As depressed as I was after Bush won, at least I had company. The world was dismayed - remember that website "sorryeverybody.com"? To be a Republican now, and to see people dancing in the streets the world over, and America make history by electing an African American, with all that it entails - all over a guy who you thought was a socialist & terrorist, you've just gotta feel like the biggest outcast...

Right, so Palin drew the people that were voting for McCain anyway while turning off the moderates that he needed to actually win. She was a net vote loser.
