What the Republican legislature did pre Covid was to expand mail in voting. Because it makes sense.

I was just wondering if anybody knew for sure if it was the Republican legislature that passed the law that says they can't start counting ballots until the polls are closed.
I see after COVID they changed that.

That might be in place for years. Not sure if that was new, but mail voting expansion certainly was.

that may be why I can't find a lot on it, I think it has been in effect for a lot of years, but I am not sure.
