I said I would keep them out of public school libraries, knowing that they probably already were not in the collection of most school libraries-- aka they should not be reintroduced on some pie in the sky ideal of complete and unrestricted access to all books in school libraries.

Those books can be privately bought on the free market. Trump supposedly had a copy of Mein Kampf, which is probably the only book he's ever read

You know that many of the books banned by Southern States, from their schools and libraries are far less graphic than the bible, in most of the areas you quote as justification for bans, right?

Many of those books banned just are suggestive of certain things and that is enough for the ban.

A LOT of the right wing/christo-fascist/Maga folks here seem not to understand the difference between a public SCHOOL library and a PUBLIC library. If they did, then maybe the whole dynamic of the debate would change.
