Why do you think it is only polls? He had a bad debate and did not look good doing it. He has done a very good job for 4 years. Most people know polls this far in advance are meaningless.

When polling says two-thirds to three-quarters of the whole sample says you are doing a shit job, you are doing a shit job. When the aggregate of numerous polls says you are for shit, you should take that seriously. Biden's polling on the economy, immigration, and overall performance right now are in that range. He's done a shit job or otherwise, he wouldn't consistently poll as the worst, least liked, president in modern history.

Now, if the polls were erratic and all over the place on some subject and consistently so, they are likely wrong. The same goes when you start parsing the sample the way Hartmann discussed in his video. That is, you can't trust use of cherry-picked portions of a poll versus using the entire sample.

Almost everything in politics is poll driven. Going on the assumption there is not some ulterior motive and Democrats saying Biden should step aside are doing so because they feel he can't win, it's based on what they've seen, their donors reactions and what polling is saying about the Democratic base (as well as overall polling for the race).

People like us on this board take politics very personally. It's a very personal thing. Those in charge care about money and power (winning). They didn't just stop liking Biden. They see the tea leaves.
