Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election have questioned multiple witnesses in recent weeks — including Mr. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner — about whether Mr. Trump had privately acknowledged in the days after the 2020 election that he had lost, according to four people briefed on the matter.

They already have that info. Many witnesses have already testified about it.

Perhaps they're attempting to trap some of his co conspirators? Or just adding names to the list of people who witnessed trump admitting same?

I remembered that someone testified that Meadows claimed that trump knew.

I just couldn't remember who.

I'm guessing that Smith is compiling a long list of people who witnessed the same thing, as it makes a huge difference in the trial(s). Especially upcoming Ga. trials.

Trump had a legal right to challenge everything he did whether he thought he lost or not.
The fact they are pursuing this line of questioning means they are running out of ideas on what to charge him with.

So Trump had a legal right to demand that the Georgia Secretary of State "find" him enough votes to win, even though he knew he lost?

That's interesting. What would you say if Hillary was on record back in 2016 saying something like that?
